Hood Ornament
This moved is named after the mini sculptures that can appear on the hoods of luxury vehicles. It is not alluding to the clitoris, though this move can also open you up to a world of pleasure and accomplishment! The Hood Ornament is a beautiful shape, and is also a useful transitional move for many exciting things to come on your pole adventures.
Pirouette and Variations
Pirouettes are fancy pivots on your feet, taken around the base of the pole. So simple, yet so delightfully effective, they are both fun and extremely versatile for any routine or combo you are putting together. Carlie will teach you precisely how to make your pirouettes smooth and effortless. She gives you three different ways of doing them, so practice each one and you’ll be hypnotising all who watch in no time!
Twizzle Flare
A signature move for Andrea, this sequence is a seriously cool, ninja style combo that will wow any audience and is super fun to execute! Make sure you really have the prerequisites nailed for this one, it might look effortless when Andrea does it but it sure is challenging.
Genie
The Genie is an absolutely classic move that looks beautiful on it’s own, however the simplicity of this trick belies the fact it is also an incredibly versatile shape. It transitions into a vast array of other tricks, making Genie an essential addition to your arsenal of tricks.

If you’re comfortable with your pirouettes, back hook and momentum turn, it’s time to try the Dianne! This smooth little combo is a great way to practice putting some of your beginner elements together to create a some pole magic ✨
Layout (aka Layback) and Variations
A beautiful and classic intermediate move, the Layout is a vital foundation for so many tricks, shapes and transitions, so it’s a good one to spend a bit of time on. If this is your first time trying Layout, be prepared for a bit of thigh burn, but we promise you’ll get used to it with practice and that it will be totally worth it!
