Choker Chopsticks and Variations
The Choker Chopsticks is a fun variation of the regular chopsticks! It uses the Choker Hold which is an unusual grip that looks like you’re choking yourself, but when done correctly it creates a cool shape and there should be no actual choking involved!
Tabletop and Tabletop Split
Time to work that core power with the stunning Tabletop! This move is one sure way to show off your strength and feel like a total boss. And as well as the classic stagged Tabletop, Tammy also teaches you the Gorgeous Tabletop Split. Get ready to feel your abs working!
Archer Split
The Archer is one of Carlie Hunter’s signature moves! It is a strong planche-like shape and is super forgiving to those of us who are “flexibility challenged” as it uses a fake split line. Be sure to warm up your shoulders well before attempting this move, and enjoy!
Forearm Split
The Forearm Split (or “Assisted Jade”) is a fun split from an Outside Leg Hang. In this tutorial, Filly will take you through all the steps to get a beautiful split line in this cute shape. There’s also a stag-leg variation if you’re a non-splitty poler or just want to mix it up a bit!
Cupid Split
The Cupid Split is a trick with a huge amount of wow-factor to add to your repertoire! You don’t need a fully flat split to make this move look beautiful, but you’ll need to be close to it. So join Joanna and get ready to nail that Cupid Split!
Plus Sign – Two Ways
This impressive trick can be executed a number of ways, but each one will have your audience’s jaws on the floor. It’s also a perfect photoshoot pose, as it’s flattering on a wide variety of bodies, doesn’t require an extreme level of flexibility and is a beautiful shape from many angles. Happy Plus-Signing!
Bunny Split
The best thing about the Bunny Split is that you don’t need a flat split to do it! Bunny is a fake split, and gives the illusion that you’re flexy (woohoo!). Be prepared for a bit of pole burn on the belly as this is one of your main grip points, but we promise it’ll be worth it for all the snaps you’ll get for the ‘gram!
Brass Monkey Split
This cute split is a classic, and super accessible once you have your Brass Monkey. And don’t worry if you haven’t touched down in your front splits yet – you don’t have to be flat for the Brass Monkey Split to look great. Have a good warmup (get those hamstrings ready), and give this one a go!
Baby Russian Split
This move looks similar to a Russian Split, but it’s a more accessible trick for those wanting to eventually progress to full Russian territory! This beautiful shape allows you to experience an inverted split with just that one foot low on the pole – pretty flashy! Join Jo as she gives a breakdown so thorough that even the most nervous among you will be happy to give it a crack!
Jade Split
The Jade Split is one of the OG crowd pleasers. Debuted in 2005 by the eponymous Jamilla DeVille (Ja…De…) the stunning line and classic beauty of this move means that few could ever tire of seeing one delivered on stage. If you don’t have a touchdown in your forward split, you may still achieve a good line in this move because it is technically not a real split. There are some key points to master in getting this baby looking flat, and Joanna is going to describe all of them for you with such clarity you will know exactly how to nail this move!
