Star

Star is as pretty as it sounds and a beautiful outside hook variation. You will need an outside leg hook for this move which you can do from an invert or from a lower down- if you’re not quite comfortable in your leg hangs yet be sure to check out those tutorials before trying this one. Star is a very versatile move that can be used as a transition move between tricks like superman or as part of a combo on static or spin pole!

Jade Split

The Jade Split is one of the OG crowd pleasers. Debuted in 2005 by the eponymous Jamilla DeVille (Ja…De…) the stunning line and classic beauty of this move means that few could ever tire of seeing one delivered on stage. If you don’t have a touchdown in your forward split, you may still achieve a good line in this move because it is technically not a real split. There are some key points to master in getting this baby looking flat, and Joanna is going to describe all of them for you with such clarity you will know exactly how to nail this move!

Outside Leg Hang Variations | Basket & Caramel Swirl

As an intermediate pole dancer, most people will have a hunger for nailing as many tricks as they can. What lots of people don’t realise is that so many tricks are really just variations on a core skill. If you’ve nailed your outside leg hang, it’s time to put this into practice! Vortex
